Overview
“Through my sculpture, I aspire to create a state where heterogeneous beings coexist.” - Hyunjun Cho

Hyunjun Cho’s draws inspiration from his personal experience living with a medical condition, and his research into the unique organic forms that are intrinsic to the human body’s functioning. The artist reinterprets the shape of his being into a heterogeneous, densely formed silhouette made from resin and clay. Through a harmonious fusion of organic and inorganic materials and silhouettes, Cho’s work promotes the diversity of bodies, both now and in the future. In utilising novel technological approaches to birth sculptures and installations, Cho transports his audience into the realms of a futuristic dystopia.
