On the occasion of our current exhibition ‘Gardening on Borrowed Time’, STUDIO WEST will present a panel discussion exploring Derek Jarman’s life, creative legacy and the magical garden he lovingly cultivated at Prospect Cottage.
Hosted by Writer and Curator, Will Ballantyne-Reid, and featuring Performer, Writer and Director of ‘Blue Now’, Neil Bartlett, BAFTA Award-Winning Costume Designer, who worked on Jarman’s ‘Caravaggio’ and ‘The Garden’, Annie Symons, Drag Performer, Writer and Researcher, Holly James Johnston and artists from the show, the conversation will consider the many ways in which Jarman has inspired the practices of creatives spanning disciplines and generations.
