NOW Introducing 2022: Group Exhibition
Past exhibition
Overview
An exhibition of the shortlisted artists from this year's 'NOW Introducing' Open Call + Art Prize.
Since inception, STUDIO WEST has been committed to platforming early career artists and helping them to build sustained professional careers; in this vein, the 'NOW Introducing' Open Call + Art Prize was devised to spotlight and support the artists we believe are the future of London's contemporary art scene.
The Annual Open Call invited applications from current MA students and recent graduates of London-based academic and alternative education programmes. We received over 200 applications, and selected 27 Shortlisted Artists whose work was featured in our ‘NOW Introducing’ Exhibition.
During the Opening Event we announced the winner, Megan Menzies who received a £2000 cash prize, and two runners-up, Andras Nagy Sandor and Preslav Kostov who each received £500. All award-winners will received a year of one-on-one mentoring with the STUDIO WEST gallery team.
The prize winners were selected with the support of our esteemed 2022 selection panel, including Artist and Educator, Andrew Hart, Art Critic, Tabish Khan, Curator and Founder of She Curates, Mollie Barnes, Curator, Collector and Founder of The Social Art Agency, Cassandra Bowes, Curator and Arts Journalist, Bella Bonner-Evans and STUDIO WEST Founder and Gallery Director, Caroline Boseley.
