Overview
"I love the idea that through flavour you can be transported to a particular place or memory and I try to achieve that feeling through my paintings. As food is such a relatable subject I hope that everyone can find a connection to my work in some way." - Phoebe Boddy
Phoebe Boddy’s practice is stimulated by food and flavour, whereby she uses the process of painting to explore the connections between the two creative fields of Food and Art.

Phoebe stores personal recollections and experiences that she has encountered with food and recreates these memories in the studio through abstract interpretative painting. Her playful and often humorous paintings are comprised of energised brushstrokes and infused with a bold use of colour and form.

Phoebe's most recent collection of paintings is inspired by how other Artists in the past have referenced food in their work and what messages they are trying to portray through the use of food.
